Every post-secondary institution (PSI) creates its own admission requirements. What a student needs for admission to UBC Okanagan is not the same as UBC Vancouver, Okanagan College or the University of Alberta. Typically, there are general admission requirements, and then specific admission requirements for each Faculty or Program. Students must meet all of the requirements in order to apply.
Most PSIs look only at Grade 12 marks for admission, but that is not consistently the case. Students need to research the admission requirements for any PSI that they might be interested in attending after high school and ensure that they are taking the appropriate courses. Please note UBC Okanagan and UBC Vancouver use Grade 11 marks as well as completed Grade 12 marks for admission assessment.
Visit Education Planner BC's website for detailed information on BC's post-secondary institutions, programs and admission requirements.
Note that this information is a guide. Institutions change admission requirements without notification. Students are responsible for researching and verifying all post-secondary entrance requirements for any institution they wish to attend.
