Indigenous Education

The Indigenous Education Program has Student Advocates in our school to provide emotional, social, academic and/or behaviour support.  They are there to help you with outside agencies such as public health, native housing, First Nations Bands, Metis Services and scholarship information.  The Student Advocates also provide a liaison between students, teachers and parents regarding homework, attendance, tardiness, course changes, health and any other concerns.  The Indigenous Education Program provides cultural experiences and throughout the year program participants are invited to attend different events, career spotlight sessions, field trips, theatrical performances and career prep conferences.  These events are beneficial for gaining knowledge of Indigenous culture and heritage.
